Yesterday Afternoon's Bible Study |
"Research has shown that about 85 percent of what people worry about never happens. In other words, we spend a lot of time worrying, dreading, fearing the worst, and fretting for no reason.
During the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus addresses our worries and tells us what we should do instead. Although Jesus does not say we shouldn't think about what we are going to eat, drink, or wear, He says we shouldn't allow these things to cause us anxiety.
God knows all of our needs, and only He can take care of us--worrying certainly can't do that. Worrying doesn't give us peace but trusting God always will. Worrying doesn't take away our problems, but we can lay down our burdens at the feet of Jesus and leave them there."

For some, worrying can become a habit that is hard to break. It can consume our hearts and minds to the point that we are crippled. But when we put our faith in God to provide for our needs, we can rewire our brains to trust Him first.
Not only can we know that God will provide for all our needs, He hears every prayer that we pray. Nothing is too big for God to handle; He even cares about the things that we feel are insignificant.
We can be grateful that God has made a way to provide for everything we will ever need.
