Yesterday Afternoon's Bible Study |
"What does it mean when something is "good"?
In the Book of Genesis, we read that God created everything and said His creation was "good." Today, we typically define "good" as a feeling or response to how we are doing.
There are times in our lives that don't feel "good." In fact, we experience trials, losses, and disappointments that feel anything BUT good. It's important to remember, however, that God is always good and what He does is always right. We need to allow Him to give us peace and hope in our hearts and minds.
If we trust God with our soul, we should know that in our everyday lives, He is going to take care of us.

Romans 8:28 tells us that "all things work together for good to them that love God," but there's a second part to that verse: "to them who are … called according to his purpose."
In the beginning, when God created everything that was good, He created humanity. He has always had a divine plan for us, and that is to know Him. God allows things that we wouldn't consider favorable because He is still working His plan for what He knows will bring good in our lives. Be encouraged ... God is always good in everything He does!
