Today's Bible Study
In this verse from Ezekiel, the Lord says that a day will be coming when all people will know that He is the Lord. He will show the world His greatness and His holiness, and all will surrender to Him. This verse gives us confidence in who the Lord is, confirming that our faith is secure in Him.

Sometimes, the day of the Lord seems far away. News stories and our own personal sufferings can make Him seem distant from us. But this verse reminds us that a day is coming when the Lord will be known by every nation. Knowing that one day every person will know that Jesus is Lord helps us cope with the adversity we face each day.


Knowing that every person will one day surrender to the Lord helps us not feel the burden of defending ourselves or our faith: We can have confidence in Him because one day, His glory will be evident to everyone. The truth of His identity will soon be revealed to everyone on Earth--they will see Him as a great, holy, and mighty God.

Today, we can rejoice in the truth that the Lord will one day be worshipped by everyone. He will unveil His greatness, even those who have rejected Him, and they will see His glory. In the meantime, we are called to help other people come to know the God whom we love and get to serve all of our days.
Today's Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for being great and mighty. Thank you for the confidence that I have in you and for the truth that you are a perfect and mighty God. Thank you for loving me deeply and for making yourself known all over the world. In Jesus's name, amen.

Yesterday's Bible Study
Psalm 127 reminds us that the Lord helps us accomplish everything. Because of this, even our greatest successes and most valiant efforts are the Lord's. He is the one who helped us work, who gives us motivation and the ability to do our jobs well.

The key to working well unto the Lord is making Him the center of everything. We should be careful to align our work with the Lord's will and then take time to involve Him in the process of our work.


This might mean we take a few minutes to pray before we begin our workday or send out an important email. Most importantly, we should thank the Lord for the ability to work and for honoring our efforts. No Christian is self-made; each of us is the recipient of the Lord's mercy and grace.

Today, think about how you can intentionally labor unto the Lord. If you have to do laundry, rake leaves, or complete an arduous project for your boss, and you dread the task, ask the Lord to help you do it as an offering to Him. Ask Him to help you focus on Him above all things, and that He would use your work to bring Him glory.
Yesterday's Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for helping me work unto you. You are so good to me, and I love you deeply. Please help me to bring you glory throughout all my works. Thank you for sustaining me through everything. In Jesus's name, amen.
