Yesterday Afternoon's Bible Study |
"In today's verse King Solomon is emphasizing that money isn't everything. He had no doubt about that because not only was he extraordinarily wealthy, he was one of the wisest men who ever lived. Based on his own personal experience, Solomon makes it clear that wisdom and understanding are far, far more important than all the money in the world." |

This is timeless advice, and very applicable to our lives today. Wealth, power, physical beauty, glamor, and extravagance are all glorified on television, on billboards, in print magazines, and on social media. It is so easy to get caught up in all that but as Christians, we know better. We need to remember what is really important: love, kindness, wisdom, insight--and above all, a better understanding of God and His Word. If we remain focused on the things in life that truly matter, God will smile down on us, He will be pleased, and He will bless us beyond measure.
