Afternoon Bible Verse
"And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses."

Afternoon Bible Study
Forgiveness is such an important part of our journey into Heaven. Just as we want to be forgiven for our sins, we must forgive those who are sorrowful about their sins. Pray for them. Nobody is perfect, and we must realize and accept that.

What makes us better Christians is treating others how we want to be treated. In order for God to forgive our trespasses, we must show kindness to others and forgive them when they show remorse. That's part of our journey as Christians.
Afternoon Prayer
Dear Lord, I know as part of my journey into Heaven, there will be stumbles along the way. Please forgive me and help me open my heart to those who also seek forgiveness, just as you did. Let them be filled with the grace and glory of God and help them so they may live in you as I am. This I ask in Jesus's name, amen.

Yesterday Afternoon's Bible Verse
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."
Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)

Yesterday Afternoon's Bible Study
"In Paul's first letter to the Corinthians, he encourages followers of Jesus to stand firm and let nothing move them as they serve the Lord.

When we give ourselves wholeheartedly to serving God, it isn't a guarantee that life will be easy. But when we build our lives on the solid foundation of God's Word and learn to trust Him, we will be able to stand firm when the tough times happen … and they will happen.

We also need to be mindful of spending our time and energy doing things that will last for eternity. When we serve others and give from our hearts, we are storing up treasures in Heaven that will last for eternity.

"

Sometimes it may seem that the things we're doing are small and inconsequential, but our efforts are not in vain. If we only rely on our own strengths and abilities, we will invariably fail. God determines how what we do for Him will affect others.

God looks at our hearts and is more concerned about our relationship with Him than anything we could accomplish. We should aim for the goal of being faithful to what God has called us to do.
Yesterday Afternoon's Prayer
Lord, I need your help to be steadfast. Often, I depend on my own strengths and abilities, but my personal desires and motivations easily sway me. I know that as I serve you, my efforts aren't in vain. I am a carrier of your living hope to those around me. Thank you for helping me stay in my faith in you. In Jesus's name, amen.
