| David uses the image of God as our rock throughout many of his Psalms and calls to worship. He knows that the world around him and us changes so quickly. A moment in one day can change the course of many days to come. David has seen first-hand the chaos that can happen in just one day. He has seen battles erupt in a moment. He also knows that the only secure truth is God. He knows that there is no one like the God he serves because He doesn’t change. He is David’s firm foundation; the rock that will not be moved. It’s a great picture for us of the solid foundation that we have in Christ Jesus. Today, no matter what you face know that your God is your rock!

| Lord God, I thank you that you were David’s rock. I thank you that even when he made mistakes you continued to be His rock. I thank you for this reminder to me today. I thank you that Jesus is my firm foundation. I thank you that my life is built on Him and His words. Jesus, lead me in your truth today through the gift of your Holy Spirit. Amen |
