        #2 Making Heaven Sweeter

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a
far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the
things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the
things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen
            are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

Suffering on this earth makes the perfect rest and blessing of heaven
seem sweeter. The less we have here, the more we think about what we’ll
have there. Whatever we don’t have here, Jesus tells us, will be repaid
in heaven. He will be our portion, and He is keeping a stunning
inheritance for us which cannot diminish or disappear. God helps us
during times of financial struggles by showing us what He has prepared
            for our eternal future.

        #1 Increasing Your Heavenly Investments

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust
doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for
yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth
corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where
your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19-21

Another way God might be helping you during your financial struggles is
helping you evaluate where you are investing. Obviously you must provide
for your family and yourself. But your current perspective on the
uncertainty of life may be His way of helping you start an investment
program in heaven’s eternal bank. Any investment you make there will
bring returns of many hundred-fold, and it can’t fail or fade away –
            it’s yours for eternity.
